We went to the San Diego County Fair today. It was a blast...we all had a good time.
Fair fare review:
We ate a ton (as expected) and everything was delicious. We had a southwestern grilled cheese w/ pepperjack, avacado, and tomato. We also had a monte cristo - which was good - but almost identical to the ones we make at home and our jam (Trader Joe's) is better. We also had a toffee ice cream cup that was amazing. Even better than Ben and Jerry's Coffee Heath Bar Crunch! and that is saying a lot. Colleen had a cupcake that looked delicious and Ryan ate a one pound turkey leg wrapped in bacon (just kiddin' - checking if you read this far down:)
However, the best dish - hands down - was the cheesy bacon bombs. They said it was most popular and people would come back 3 or 4 times for more. We almost did except we wanted to sample other things. They were amazing! It was a jalapeno cheese coated in a little breading/panko and wrapped in bacon and deep fried.

She and dad rode a caterpillar roller coaster and our little adrenaline junkie was yelling "Whoo-hoo" the whole time! - but we didn't get any pictures of that...

| Then she drove a boat. |
 |
| And rode a motorcycle. |
And went down a huge slide:

| And devoured a cupcake - vanilla cupcake with vanilla frosting and pink sugar topping. |

| Safe to say she had a good time and it wore her out! |

Ryan was quite happy on the way home and there is a sleeping sister next to him.

Then everyone came home to take a nap while dad posted pictures of all of them :)
